About
Welcome
At KeyStart Driving School in Carnforth, Lancashire, our driving instructor helps students to complete their pass plus courses, as well as provide driving lessons for learners. We deal with pupils of all skill levels, from those driving for the first time to experienced drivers who have failed a test. Our instructor has built up a rapport with local university students and has helped many of them to pass their test over the last 10 years. All of the lessons we provide are tailored to suit the needs of the individual and help make them safe and confident drivers.
About Us
Simply put, we attain results by teaching pupils to pass their test. However, this is done at an above average level. At KeyStart Driving School, we believe being taught simply how to pass is not sufficient enough to drive safely in today's conditions. Therefore, the standard is one that will allow you to be able to cope with all situations you encounter, and as such, give you a much more rounded set of driving skills and abilities to help you in future driving situations.

Furthermore, we continually look at what is best for our target audience as a means to improving the overall experience of learning to drive, as well as keeping prices that are realistic and affordable. For example, new starters get a starter pack consisting of: a DVD of all elements of learning to drive, hazard perception assistance, and an interactive multiple-choice questionnaire regarding the Highway Code. All of these theory resources, as well as email support, if required, improve the practical elements of driving too.
Our Services
KeyStart also endeavours to find methods to improve the standards of our pupils, as well as the benefits they receive from being taught by us. This and all the other avenues of assistance mean that our pupils, more often than not, go on to pass their test the first time.

Awesome instructor
Simon is a fantastic driving instructor. I only wish I had found him sooner. Driving didn't come naturally to me but his tremendous patience, kindness and laid back approach did wonders for my skills and confidence. He was reliable, punctual, flexible in scheduling lessons and always gave me 100% of his attention. I cannot recommend him highly enough, especially to those who have previously struggled to learn. Highly Recommend Instructor!

Excellent Instructor
Simon was a great driving instructor who always remained calm and focused. He tailored the lessons around focus points that helped me to improve my driving. The skills that Simon has taught me were more than just to help me pass the test. When the lesson timing was dictated by the traffic I was always kept informed and lost time was always made up. Simon is a great instructor and I would recommend him to anyone looking to pass first time.

Fantastic!
Simon is a wonderful instructor. I came to him after spending a lot of money with a different instructor yet failing two tests. After only 5 lessons with Simon I passed first time! He put me at ease straight away and gave constructive advice around my driving, sitting down to discuss ‘focus point’ that were letting down my driving and then setting routes to help tackle these points. I would definaly reccomend Simon and only wish I had him as my instructor from the beginning!
