I ordered & paid for a bathroom suite from this circus on 29/09/2009 having viewed their website which showed a maximum delivery time of 1 - 3 weeks. When ordering I confirmed this and was told it was correct. 4 weeks later I telephoned them for a delivery date and was told the "lead time" was 5 weeks. I pointed out their website stated 1 - 3 weeks however the female I spoke with insisted it did not - despite the fact I was looking at the website whilst speaking with her. Over the weeks I made numerous telephone calls for a delivery date each time being given a different eta weeks ahead. I sent recorded delivery letters to the owners of the company - to their home address - and (surprise surprise) they were returned unopened. At the beginning of December I again telephoned the company and asked to speak with one of the owners by name. I spoke with a female who had the communication skills of a rabid rottweiller. She identified herself as the "Showroom Manager" and told me the owners weren't available. I asked when they would be available and she informed me "Not till January" I told her the reason for my call and why I wished to speak with them i.e. my total dissatisfaction at over the misleading information on their website, the lack of communication and the fact I had to ring them for infortmation and that I was still waiting for the goods I had paid for in September. Her response was "If you don't like it you can cancel and have your money back." I said I would wait and speak with the owners on their return. At this point she informed me "No you won't - you won't be allowed to." Their website states goods ordered are delivered direct from them to you by their "experienced drivers who are used to handiling bathrooms thereby minimising the risk of damage or breakages - and no pallets or cartons are left at your premises." On 22nd December I received a telephone call from a delivery contractor stating he had a pallet of goods to deliver to me from Bathroom Emporium and would I be available to take delivery the next day. I pointed out I had not been made aware the goods were being sent to me and that I had expected them to be delivered by the company I ordered them from detailing word for word the claims on the website about delivery. The person I was speaking with laughed and said "You're joking - it's been through 6 hubs already and we won't have it till tomorrow - breakages happen quite often. Also, we will only deliver to your kerbside - we won't bring it into your house. You'll have 15 minutes to check it but that's all." I was clearly not happy with this information and the male told me he would get back to the company who had passed the job to him. He then rang me back and stated he had spoken with the company he had the job from - they had tried to contact Bathroom Emporium but they were closed for Christmas - having closed on 18th December and would not re-open till 02 January 2010. IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE AT ALL YOU WILL NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Anything you save on the retail cost is lost (or certainly was by me) as a result of having to cancel plumbers and other trades people because Bathroom Emporium staff's inefficiency and complete disregard for customer satisfaction or keeping the customer informed
